Aim of the group

The aim of this working group was to consider to what extent do employers seek the development of these skills during a university course and to provide a guide to current good practice.

Remit of Group

  • To delineate what communication skills should be considered as core skills for inclusion in an undergraduate chemistry program. 

  • To examine the place of Communication and Management Skills in Chemistry teaching programs. 

  • To obtain the views of the national chemical societies. 

  • To ascertain the needs and expectations of industry by consultation with, as far as possible, both small/medium enterprises and large multinational companies.
